The Black United Fund of Michigan, Celebrates 50 Years
DETROIT (WXYZ) — Black History Month means so much to so many people. During the coming weeks, you will see plenty examples of that.
Though now you are about to find out why scores of people are saying thank you to one Detroit organization in particular, it's called the Black United Fund of Michigan, Inc.
It sounds like a hefty title and it should, because this organization, lead by President and CEO Kenneth Donaldson, has done incredible things for the city.
The spirit of giving is rooted in this organization, and it cannot be measured.
For 50 years, it has said "yes" to helping people, organizations and businesses succeed, even when others said no.
7 Action News Reporter Andrea Isom sat down with Donaldson and leaders in the city who want to celebrate and salute BUF for its dedication and commitment to the growth of Detroit.
