Kenneth W. Donaldson is the President & CEO of BUF of Michigan. He has lived most of his life in Detroit with childhood memories of a city with two parent families, safe neighborhoods and vibrant schools where the entire family was engaged in early childhood education. Ken graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science and Leadership Detroit XIV. He also attended Wayne State University, Henry Ford Community College and Wayne County Community College.  Ken’s passion for family cohesion and stable communities led him to over 40 years of philanthropy, mentorship, and community organizing.

As the President & CEO of BUF of Michigan, a fifty-year-old non-profit organization, Ken has helped to bring millions of dollars and numerous beneficial and empowering programs to non-profit organizations. His efforts have supported over 1,500 non-profit organizations impacting the lives of tens of thousands of men, women and children. Under Ken’s leadership, BUF has shifted its focus to empowering the youth and providing young people with greater opportunities to achieve their dreams.

The E.Y.E.S. (Empowering Youth for Everyday Success) Initiative equips under-represented youth with the tools to succeed academically, financially, socially, and professionally. Under this Initiative, BUF implements a number of education-focused programs that reinforce STEM-skills (creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and confidence). Youth are able to learn both hard and soft skills needed din the workplace. Other BUF initiatives include Project Aviation, Future Doc of Tomorrow, Career Education and Financial Literacy.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Ken is a devoted husband to Joyce and father to his three children, Kayla, Kenneth 2nd and Kyana.

Ken is a visionary for this organization, with a love for people and positive social change; a relationship maker.
